Congratulations! Boeing Shanghai CEO Mark Sisson was elected as the new Honorary President of the Royal Aeronautical Society in China


The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAS) China Office is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mark Sisson,, as Honorary Chairman of the China Region.
Mark joined Boeing in September 2016. Prior to becoming CEO of Boeing Shanghai, he held several senior program management positions at Boeing Global Services, including CEO of Boeing Asia Pacific Aviation Services (BAPAS), Director of Engineering Services at Boeing Global Services, General Manager of Boeing Aircraft Maintenance Center at London Gatwick Airport, and Director of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Ltd. (BCASEL), where he was a key member of Boeing's leadership team in the UK.
Prior to joining Boeing, Mark worked at British Airways for 27 years, starting as a mechanical engineer apprentice in 1990 and progressing through a number of maintenance and senior leadership positions, including Head of Engineering and Maintenance for the short haul fleet, and Engineering Manager for the Boeing 787 and Airbus A380 fleets.
Mark obtained his Higher National Diploma (HNC) in Aerospace Engineering from Brooklands College. Through continuous professional development, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) in 2020 and registered as a Royal Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council in 2021.
Mr. Mark is also a professional judge for the AeroTube 2024 International Aerospace Science Video Competition.

Mark joined Boeing in September 2016 and prior to being the Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Shanghai, he held a number of Senior Program Management roles within Boeing Global Services, including Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Asia Pacific Aviation Services (BAPAS), Director of Engineering Services for BGS, General Manager of Boeing’s MRO at London Gatwick, Director of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited (BCASEL) and a key member of Boeing’s UK Leadership Team.
Previous to Boeing, Mark had a 27-year career at British Airways, progressing through a variety of maintenance and senior leadership positions including Head of Engineering & Maintenance for the Short Haul Fleet and Engineering Manager Boeing 787 & Airbus 380 Fleets.
Mark studied at Brooklands College achieving his HNC in Aerospace Engineering and through continual professional development was duly elected as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2020 and was registered as a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council in 2021.
