On January 6, 2025, the China Representative Office of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in Beijing , aiming to promote more international exchanges and communication between engineering and technical personnel and members of both sides, and seek to jointly carry out seminars, conferences and exhibitions to help promote international cooperation in engineering technology.

Mr. Warren East, Chairman of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and former CEO of Rolls-Royce plc, believes that establishing cooperation with other professional organizations is an important way for IET to develop its business.
