Professional registration is an important achievement for any aerospace engineer or technician. It establishes their recognised knowledge, understanding and ability and demonstrates to your colleagues and employers that you have demonstrated a commitment to professional standards, competence development and lifelong career progression.
All engineering professionals are eligible for registration, regardless of age, years of experience or qualifications, as long as they can demonstrate their ability to carry out professional work to the required standard and commit to:
- Maintain this ability
- Working within professional standards
- Actively participate in industry activities
Depending on your occupation, you can apply to be promoted from one registration category to the next, and at the same time upgrade your membership level from one to the next.
