Howard was educated at Alleyn’s School and read physics at Bristol University. From 1993,he was responsible for delivery of both the mission operations centre at ESOC and the science operations centre in Spain for the XMM-Newton mission and all related activities until end of the in-orbit commissioning in 2000. In 2002, he led an ESA cooperation involving
eight ESA member states, negotiating an agreement in 2004 assigning responsibilities for flight operation of the EU Galileo satellites, valid until 2016. From 2004, all five ESA establishments across Europe were placed under his responsibility and from 2006, he was additionally responsible for ESA-wide corporate informatics. He was an ESA Senior Executive from 2012 until end 2014 responsible for ESA-wide organisational chang and cost efficiency. He is a Fellow of the Society, Chair of the Space Specialist Group, Vice President of the Paris Branch and Member of the Institute of Physics, fluent in French and German.

This year we return for our second conference on advanced air mobility convened by the Royal Aeronau tical Society in China. Our objective each year is to bring together leaders and experts in industry, academia and government who collectively stand at the forefront of developments in the field, collectively working to turn today's exciting vision of safe, sustainable urban air mobility into tomorrow's reality. This year we return bigger and better, building on last year's success with a more comprehensive programme, covering many more topics in more depth over the full two days. Captain Ling acquired his flying license in Adelaide and MBA in Southern Queensland, Australia. He started flying the Twin Otters (DHC-6) in the early 90s in East Malaysia serving the interiors up in the mountains. He then progressed to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 jets serving regional and international destinations.He also flew in the middle east flying A330/A340 for 5 years in mid-2000.Captain Ling then returned to Malaysia and joint AirAsia, mainly to assist on the long-haul routes then.He has held several portfolios as Head of Training, Quality Assurance, and Safety for the Group.During the pandemic, he has also setup AirAsia Ride (e-hailing) service when flight operations was reduced tremendously.Captain Ling and his team has also set up CAAM approved UAS (Drone) training early this year, and currently working on UAM with Avolon and Vertical Aerospace.

Mr. Richard Jian Liu has served as the Chief Financial Officer of EHang (Nasdaq: EH) since May 2017. Mr. Liu joined EHang as a vice president of finance in August 2015.
