Friendly meeting between David Edwards, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Lin Zuoming, Chairman of the Aviation Society of China

On the 28th local time, David Edwards, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society of the United Kingdom, and Lin Zuoming, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics, met and exchanged views at the AAMIC 2023 International Forum on Future Air Traffic.

The Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics was the special guest of this forum. David Edwards, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and Lin Zuoming, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, completed the meeting in a friendly atmosphere. Yu Ce, Assistant Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Zhao Pengran, Senior Business Manager; Julian Maccormac, Honorary Chairman of the Royal Aeronautical Society's China Office, Shen Wenjia, Secretary General, and Tan Zhan, Minister of Industry, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the cooperation between the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society of the United Kingdom over the past five years, and unanimously agreed on the necessity of resuming previous international exchanges and extensive industrial interactions as soon as possible in the post-epidemic era.

The two sides had a frank discussion on topics such as making every effort to encourage, attract and cultivate the aviation enthusiasm of the younger generation in the current international environment; providing more high-level aviation education opportunities; and continuously cultivating young talents in the breadth and depth of aviation in the future development, and put forward constructive suggestions for further strengthening cooperation. The two sides reached a consensus that they will continue to promote the popularization and development of aviation education and scientific culture, and lay a solid foundation for promoting industrial and cultural exchanges and cooperation.

Advanced Air Mobility International Conference (AAMIC)

The Advanced Air Mobility International Conference is an annual international AAM industry event hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society China Office in China. The 2023 Advanced Air Mobility International Conference is hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society China Office, co-hosted by the University of Nottingham Ningbo and the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and will be held at the Ningbo Nanyuan Global Hotel from August 28 to 29. The forum includes a one-and-a-half-day keynote speech and roundtable forum, as well as a half-day visit to the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of More Electric Aircraft and other places.
