1. General Information About These Master Terms of Use (“Master Terms”).
Please read these Terms carefully as they apply to your use of all websites operated by the Royal Aeronautical Society (collectively, the websites to which these Terms apply, the “Websites”), including the products and services offered through the Websites (collectively, the “Services”). The Websites include, but are not limited to, those operated at www.aerosociety.com and media.aerosociety.com (collectively, all their sub-domains). The Royal Aeronautical Society (or RAeS) is a UK professional body whose business offices are at 4 Hamilton Place, London, SW1J 7BQ.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Royal Aeronautical Society, your use of any Website or Service will at all times be subject to at least the terms and conditions set out in this document. These terms and conditions are referred to as the “Master Terms”.

In addition, your use of any Website or Service may be subject to the terms of any Legal Notices applicable to that Website or Service in addition to the Master Terms. All terms that supplement these Master Terms are referred to below as “Additional Terms.” If Additional Terms apply to a Website or Service, you can read those terms within that Website or Service or by using that Website or Service.

The Master Terms, together with any Additional Terms, constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the Royal Aeronautical Society regarding your use of the Website and Services. This legal agreement is collectively referred to below as the “Terms”. If there is any conflict between the Additional Terms and the Master Terms, the Additional Terms shall prevail with respect to the Website or Service to which the Additional Terms apply.

2. Your Agreement to the Terms.
Your access or use of any Site or Service in any manner indicates that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Terms. By accessing or using any Site or Service, you also represent that you have the legal authority to accept the Terms on behalf of yourself and any party you represent when using any Site or Service. If you do not agree to the Terms, you are not authorized to use any Site or Service.

3. Changes to the Terms.
The Royal Aeronautical Society may change, delete, add (including without limitation, Additional Terms) or otherwise modify the Terms from time to time and reserves the right to do so in its sole discretion. In such event, we will post the updated Master Terms or Additional Terms (as relevant) on the applicable Site and indicate the date of the revision. We encourage you to review the Terms regularly. In addition, if our changes are material, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you electronically. For example, we may send a message to your email address if we have it on file, or we may display a notice on the Site indicating that the Terms have changed. All new and/or revised Terms are effective immediately; however, if the Royal Aeronautical Society, in its sole discretion, determines that such new and/or additional material terms are material, such new and/or additional material terms will be marked as such and will become effective 30 days after being posted on the applicable Site. Notwithstanding the foregoing, (i) any modification to the Terms will not apply to any dispute between you and the Royal Aeronautical Society arising prior to the effective date of any modification; and (ii) if you disagree with any modification to the Terms, you may terminate this Agreement by ceasing to use the Site and Services. Your continued use of any Site or Service after new and/or revised Terms become effective indicates that you have read, understood and agree to those Terms.

4. General Terms of the Website and Services.
The Royal Aeronautical Society provides the Website and Services to you subject to these Terms. You may use the Website and Services only in accordance with these Terms and any applicable Additional Terms. In particular, but without limitation, you must not use the Website and Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, any applicable Additional Terms or any other conditions or notices provided on any Website or Service.

5. Location of Website and Services.
The Website and Services are controlled and provided by the Royal Aeronautical Society from its facilities in the United Kingdom. The Royal Aeronautical Society makes no representation that the Website or Services are appropriate or available for use in other locations. If you access or use any Website or Services from other jurisdictions, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Website may contain or provide links to Content (as defined in Section 8 below) hosted on websites outside the United Kingdom.

6. User Conduct.
User agrees not to use the Site or Services to:
1. Post, use or transmit content that you do not have the right to post or use, such as under intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy or other applicable laws;

2. Post, use or transmit unsolicited or unauthorized content, including advertising or promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of unsolicited or unwanted solicitation or advertising;

3. Post, use or transmit any content that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the Site or Services or servers or networks connected to the Site or Services, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Site or Services;

4. Post or transmit content that is harmful, offensive, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, defamatory, hateful or otherwise discriminatory, false and misleading, incites illegal conduct or otherwise violates your obligations to any person or violates any applicable laws and regulations;

5. Intimidate or harass others;

6. Use or attempt to use another person’s account, services or personal information;

7. Remove, circumvent, disable, damage or otherwise interfere with any security-related features that enforce limitations on use of the Site or Services;

8. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or Services, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to the Site or Services through hacking, password mining or any other means, or interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or Services or any activities conducted through the Site or Services;

9. Use any means to circumvent or ignore robot.txt or other measures we use to restrict access to or use of the Website or Services;

10. Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; or

11. Post or transmit any personally identifiable information about anyone under the age of 13.

In addition, you may not (and may not authorize another party to): (i) frame or otherwise co-brand a Site or Service (for example, by displaying a third party’s name, logo, trademark, or other attribution in a manner that is likely to give a user the impression that the third party has the right to display, publish, or distribute the Site or Service); or (ii) use any Site or Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair such Site or Service or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of any Site or Service.

7. Terms Related to Content on the Website and Services. 7.1
. Responsibility for Content.
You understand that all materials, data and information, such as data files, written text, computer software, music, audio files or other sounds, photographs, videos or other images (collectively, "Content"), to which you may have access in the course of or through your use of the Website and Services are the sole responsibility of the individuals from whom the Content originated. This includes individuals who may explicitly or implicitly claim the origin and ownership of Content that they provide, upload, list and/or link to. You acknowledge that the Royal Aeronautical Society makes no representations or warranties about the Content, including, without limitation, the accuracy, integrity or quality of Content provided at the instigation of users of the Website and Services. You understand that by using the Website and Services, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. In no event will the Royal Aeronautical Society be liable in any way for any Content, including, without limitation, any infringing Content, any errors or omissions in the Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, transmitted, linked or otherwise accessed or made available through the Website and Services.

7.2. Licenses related to content on the Site and Services. 7.2.1
. Your Content:
You retain the copyright in your content on the Site or in connection with the Services. You hereby agree that all content you voluntarily provide to the Royal Aeronautical Society on or through any Site or Service is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License, is free of copyright or is in the public domain. When you post your content, you identify the Royal Aeronautical Society as the “Attributable Party” in the Attribution 3.0 License, as defined therein, and authorize the association of the relevant website URI with your content to implement that license. If the content you provide is protected by copyright, you may not provide it to the Royal Aeronautical Society if it is not licensed under the Royal Aeronautical Society Attribution 3.0 License. 7.2.2
. Third Party Content:
Third Party Content and Third Party Websites (as defined in Section 9 below) that the Royal Aeronautical Society links or embeds on the Site or makes available through the Services, including, without limitation, blogs and news feeds, are subject to the terms of the license that accompanies such content. In relation to third party content and third party websites provided by the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Royal Aeronautical Society will take reasonable steps to clearly mark any third party content or third party website that is not licensed under the Royal Aeronautical Society Attribution 3.0 License; however, the Royal Aeronautical Society cannot and does not make any warranties or guarantees about the licensing terms of third party content or third party websites and provides all such information on an "as is" basis. We encourage you to always verify the licence before using such content.

7.3. Content You Provide.
You may only submit content to the Site or in connection with the Services that you have the right to submit. The Royal Aeronautical Society may (but is not obligated to) review your submissions and may, in its sole discretion, delete or remove (without notice) any content that the Royal Aeronautical Society believes violates the Terms or is potentially offensive, illegal, or that may infringe upon the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of others. The Royal Aeronautical Society does not endorse or support any content posted by you or any other third party on or through the Site or Services. You are responsible for creating backup copies and replacing any Content you post on the Site or Services, and you authorize the Royal Aeronautical Society to make copies of your Content as we deem necessary to facilitate the posting of your Content on the Site or Services. You may request removal of your Content from the Site or Services at any time, and the Royal Aeronautical Society will take reasonable steps to promptly remove such Content; however, the Royal Aeronautical Society may only remove any such Content from its Site, and not from email archives, wiki history pages, and similar community forums to which you may have posted Content, or from the computers of others, such as Content you may have sent to others in an email posted to the Royal Aeronautical Society email list. You represent and warrant to the Royal Aeronautical Society that you will use any and all Content on our Website or Services in accordance with the applicable licence. You further acknowledge that the Royal Aeronautical Society (a) is not responsible for any Third Party Websites or any third party content, information or products available on any Third Party Websites; (b) has not reviewed any Third Party Websites or Third Party Content for accuracy, appropriateness, completeness or non-infringement; (c) does not sponsor or otherwise endorse Third Party Websites or Third Party Content; and (d) makes no representations or warranties regarding any Third Party Websites or Third Party Content.

9. Participating in our Community: Registered Users.
Registration for an account on any website (including, without limitation, www.aerosociety.com) is void where prohibited. Only persons who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction (generally 18 years of age, but may be different in your jurisdiction) and who are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations and warranties set forth in the Terms and to abide by and comply with the Terms; however, if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction but over the age of 13, you may join with the express permission of your parent or legal guardian. Registration, use or access of the Services offered to Registered Users (defined below) by any person who is (1) under the age of 13 or (2) under the age of majority in his or her jurisdiction but does not have the permission of his or her parent or guardian is unauthorized, unlicensed and in violation of these Master Terms. By registering for an account on any Site or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are (1) over the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or (2) over 13 years of age and have your legal guardian's express permission to become a Registered User and use the Services provided to Registered Users, and you further agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of these Master Terms and any applicable Additional Terms.
The Services provided to Registered Users are subject to these Master Terms and any Additional Terms specified on the relevant Site. The Royal Aeronautical Society reserves the right to modify or discontinue Registered User accounts and the Services at any time. The Royal Aeronautical Society shall not be liable to Registered Users and third parties if the Royal Aeronautical Society exercises its right to modify or discontinue User accounts or the Services.
Registration; Security.

You agree to (a) provide accurate, current and complete personal information during the registration process for any Site; (b) maintain the security of your password and identification information; (c) maintain and promptly update your registration information and any other information you provide to the Royal Aeronautical Society and keep it accurate and complete so that we can contact you; and (d) accept full responsibility for all use of your account and any actions taken under your account. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Royal Aeronautical Society has your current contact information. You may not establish an account or membership on behalf of another person or entity unless you are authorized to do so.

Not a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
As used in these Terms and Conditions, a "Registered User" means an individual who has registered and obtained an account on one of our Sites. Becoming a Registered User or using any related Site or Service does not make you a member, shareholder or affiliate of the Royal Aeronautical Society for any purpose.

Termination; Termination and Deactivation of User Accounts.
Your participation as a registered user and your right to use the Services will automatically terminate upon your breach of any of these Master Terms or applicable Additional Terms.
In addition, the Royal Aeronautical Society may at any time: (a) modify, suspend or terminate the operation of or access to your user account for any reason; (b) modify or change such Sites and Services and any applicable terms and policies governing your user account and the Sites and Services for any reason; and (c) discontinue user accounts and the Sites and Services for any reason, all at the sole discretion of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Your access to your account and use of the Sites and Services may be terminated by either you or the Royal Aeronautical Society at any time, for any reason, without notice.

In addition, the Royal Aeronautical Society reserves the right to delete and purge any account and all content associated with it after a period of inactivity, all at the Royal Aeronautical Society's sole discretion.

10. DISCLAIMER.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ROYAL AERONAUTICALS PROVIDES THE SITE AND THE SERVICES ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE SITE OR THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE ROYAL AERONAUTICALS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE SITE OR THE SERVICES OR THE CONTENT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE ROYAL AERONAUTICALS' SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. THE ROYAL AERONAUTICALS DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE OR THE RESULTS OF THE USE OF THE CONTENT IN TERMS OF ITS ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE.

11. Limitation of Liability.
Except to the extent required by applicable law, and only to that extent, in no event will the Royal Aeronautical Society, its employees, officers, directors, affiliates or agents (the “Royal Aeronautical Society Parties”) be liable to you for any incidental, direct, indirect, punitive, actual, consequential, special, exemplary or other damages under any legal theory, including, without limitation, loss of income or revenue, lost profits, pain and suffering, emotional distress, costs of substitute goods or services, or similar damages suffered or incurred by you or any third party in connection with the Site or Services (or termination of the Site or Services for any reason), even if the Royal Aeronautical Society Parties have been advised of the possibility of such damages. The
Royal Aeronautical Society Parties assume no liability for any content posted on the Site or Services (including claims of infringement related to content posted on the Site or Services, your use of the Site and Services, or other conduct of third parties on, in connection with, or in connection with the Site or Services).

12. Indemnification for Violation of Terms of Use.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Royal Aeronautical Society Parties (as defined above) from and against any and all losses, expenses, damages and costs (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting directly or indirectly from any violation of these Terms by you. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Royal Aeronautical Society Parties from and against any and all third party claims arising out of your use of any Site or Service and Content that you make available in any manner through any Site or Service (including, without limitation, by posting, linking, referencing Content or otherwise).

13. Privacy Policy.
The Royal Aeronautical Society is committed to the responsible handling of information and data we collect through our Website and Services and agrees to use your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Terms. The Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated into these Master Terms by reference.

14. Trademarks.
The Website and Services may contain trademarks, service marks, logos and other designations belonging to the Royal Aeronautical Society or other parties associated with such name or designation. In the case of the Royal Aeronautical Society's trademarks, logos and designations, these may only be used with the express permission of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

15. Copyright Complaints; DMCA Compliance.
The Royal Aeronautical Society respects the intellectual property of others, and we prohibit users of our Site and Services from submitting, uploading, posting or otherwise transmitting any material that infringes upon the intellectual property of others.
In addition, it is our policy to terminate the use rights and any applicable user accounts of users we determine to be "repeated infringers of the copyrights of others."
Content hosted on third-party sites is the responsibility of those sites, not the Royal Aeronautical Society, regardless of whether the content is licensed under a Creative Commons license. If you are the copyright owner of content hosted on a third-party site and you do not authorize the use of your content, please contact the administrator of the hosting site directly to have the content removed.

16. Termination of this Agreement.
These Terms and any Additional Terms will continue to apply until terminated by you or the Royal Aeronautical Society as provided below. Your right to access and use the Sites and Services will automatically terminate upon your breach of any of these Terms or Additional Terms applicable to any Site or Service.

The Royal Aeronautical Society may, at any time: (a) modify, suspend or terminate operation of or access to any Site or Service, or any part of a Site or Service, for any reason; (b) modify or change a Site or Service, or any part of a Site or Service, and any Master Terms, Additional Terms and other policies governing use of a Site or Service, for any reason; or (c) discontinue operation of a Site or Service, or any part of a Site or Service, for any reason, all at the Royal Aeronautical Society's sole discretion.

Your access to and use of the Website or Services may be terminated by either you or the Royal Aeronautical Society at any time and for any reason. The Royal Aeronautical Society will use reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of any material modification, suspension or termination of the Royal Aeronautical Society that is not due to your breach of the Terms.

The disclaimers, limitations of liability, and jurisdiction and applicable law provisions shall survive termination. The license grants referenced herein shall survive in accordance with the terms of the applicable license. Your warranty and indemnity obligations shall survive termination for one year.

17. Miscellaneous.
If any provision or portion of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable by any law or regulation or by the final determination of a competent court or tribunal, that provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. The parties agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and the Royal Aeronautical Society as a result of these Master Terms, any Additional Terms or your use of any Site or Service. These Master Terms and any applicable Additional Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Royal Aeronautical Society with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior, current and future communications between you and the Royal Aeronautical Society (except for future revisions to these Terms that may be provided from time to time by the Royal Aeronautical Society). A printed version of these Terms and any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
Changes and Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the effective date below. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any restrictions or requirements on the use of our web properties. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to these Terms and any updates.
