Introduction to the Society

The Royal Aeronautical Society is the world's oldest and most internationally influential aerospace professional academic organization. Headquartered in London, the society is a special non-profit organization established by the British Royal Charter. The society has nearly 30,000 professional members and more than 300 corporate members in 70 countries and regions around the world. In March 2020, the society was officially approved to become the first overseas science and technology non-governmental organization settled in Shanghai with the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission as the business supervisory unit.

Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) has a long history of excellence in the aeronautical and aerospace field in the UK and across the world. It was established as an NGO under the Royal Charter. It has branches and divisions across 70 different locations worldwide with almost 30,000 professional members. It also has over 300 aerospace companies as corporate members. The society is proud to become the first foreign technology NGO registered with Shanghai Municipal Government while sponsored by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee.

Location: Shanghai

I - Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing all external cooperation of the representative office of the society and the external publicity work of the society, including: operation of the official account, event promotion, strategic cooperation and other related work.
  2. Assist in organizing various academic activities, including visits, lectures, exchanges, science popularization activities, etc.
  3. Assist the management of the society's membership affairs in China, connect with the UK headquarters, participate in meetings and visits of the representative office, and other related work.

II - Requirements

  1. Fluent in English, strong communication skills, strong execution and innovation capabilities

  2. Have new media operation experience, copywriting editing ability, and be able to independently operate a public account

  3. Have a sense of responsibility and team spirit, and be willing to devote energy and time to public welfare

  4. Aviation industry knowledge and background is a plus

Head of the Academic Department

Location: Shanghai

I - Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and organize academic exchanges, academic research, academic publications, award recommendations, and popular science content

  2. Promote the Society's international professional qualification certification, and expand the talent evaluation and certification with local human resources and social security bureaus (For details, click: National Certification!   3. Coordinate industry exchanges and promote innovative cooperation and industrial development

  4. Coordinate and organize the work related to the academic content and students, including: learning and training, social practice, work internship, employment, academic forums, roadshows, etc.

II - Requirements

  1. Fluent in English, strong communication skills, strong execution and innovation capabilities

  2. Have an industrial background, care about and understand industry development trends, and be keen on investment and development opportunities in the aviation industry

  3. Have a sense of responsibility and team spirit, and be willing to devote energy and time to public welfare

  4. Aviation background, currently engaged in aviation technology work or aviation technology research is preferred

intern

Location: Office of the Society Representative Office: Qiantan World Trade Center, Pudong New District, Shanghai

I - Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Support the work of the heads of relevant departments (Activity Department, External Relations Department, Academic Department, Industry Department)
  2. Assist in planning the society's 2024 industry activities and project implementation, including but not limited to the AAMIC Future Air Traffic Forum, AeroTube International Aerospace Video Science Competition, etc.
  3. Assist in creating and maintaining the content of the society's public account and video media account
