This year we return for our second conference on advanced air mobility convened by the Royal Aeronau tical Society in China. Our objective each year is to bring together leaders and experts in industry, academia and government who collectively stand at the forefront of developments in the field, collectively working to turn today's exciting vision of safe, sustainable urban air mobility into tomorrow's reality. This year we return bigger and better, building on last year's success with a more comprehensive programme, covering many more topics in more depth over the full two days. The Royal Aeronautical Society is proud to host this conference once more, bringing together industry, academia and government, sharing our vision and ideas, and fostering the collaborations to support the development of new, advanced urban air mobility in China.

Professor Laura Bishop

Vice Provost for Research and Knowledge Exchange of UNNC

Professor Laura Bishop is the Vice Provost for Research and Knowledge Exchange at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Yale University. Prior to joining UNNC, she was a Professor of Palaeoanthropology and Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Science at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). In this role since 2022, she had strategic and operational leadership of the Faculty of Science at LJMU. Prof Bishop was the Principal of the Sino-British College (SBC) of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology from 2018 to 2021. Her leadership and influencing skills helped steer SBC successfully through a complex and challenging period of change.

Prof Bishop is an active advocate for internationalization in higher education. Having worked with the UK-China Joint Institute Alliance and served on the Executive Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce (Shanghai), she has excellent knowledge of the landscape of higher education in China, and of the trends which will both challenge and catalyse UNNC’s research and knowledge exchange.

Prof Bishop is the author of more than 60 scholarly publications. Her research explores the environmental contexts of the evolution of human behaviour in Africa, with a focus on the interpretation of the dynamic aspects of hominin evolution, particularly behaviour and ecology.

NING Feng

Ning Feng, a distinguished professor-level senior engineer and doctoral graduate, currently serves as President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC Shanghai). He also holds the position of Vice President of Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd and is honored as a National Model Worker in China. With a proven track record in the construction and operation of large-scale venues, Ning Feng has overseen major projects such as the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, the Shanghai World Expo venue, and the NECC Shanghai. As president, he has played a pivotal role in driving the diversified development of the NECC Shanghai and has been actively involved in the preparations for every China International Import Expo (CIIE) since its inception.

Mr. Richard Liu is a partner of New Margin AAM Capital and the former CFO of EHang Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: EH). He success
fully led EHang’s IPO on the NASDAQ in the adverse market environment in late 2019, making EHang the world’s first "Urban Air
Mobility (UAM)" listed company. This has pioneered the way for the global industry to tap into the capital market. EHang’s IPO was
selected as an Outstanding IPO Project in the inaugural “China CFO Top 100” ranking by Barron's in 2022, and he himself was again
named the CFO of Special Attention for 2023. Mr. Liu has been instrumental throughout the EHang’s development, from its
inception to its successful listing and continuous development. Previously, Mr. Liu served as the Group VP Finance and CFO of the
New Business Group at China's first U.S.-listed IDC company, 21Vianet (Nasdaq: VNET). He was CFO of several industry-leading

Having delved deeply into the low-altitude economic market for many years, he has led his team to innovatively implement the "low-altitude +" model, emphasizing the combination of helicopters with other fields and launching scenarios such as low-altitude tours, aviation science popularization, helicopter skydiving, film and television shooting, and aerial wedding shows. These efforts have received wide recognition in the market and broadened the scenarios and profit models of new low-altitude business forms. Simultaneously, he has interfaced with the earliest low-altitude economic digital infrastructure platform "Airbus VOOM" in China and participated in the development of the first domestic low-altitude travel service platform, "Air Taxi".

Dr. Yuanyuan “Martin” Ding holds a Ph.D. majoring in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University and has 20+ years of extensive experience working for Moog, Garmin, Honeywell,
and Collins Aerospace in critical aviation system full life cycle development and airworthiness certification.


Dr. Ding was designated as the organization representative of S-TEC Corporation (now Moog) and Garmin respectively to serve as the member of RTCA SC-220 to contribute to the development of technical standards for Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems (RTCA DO-335/336). Dr. Ding is also the Appointed Liaison for China of Advanced Air Mobility Institute (AAMI).


Dr. Ding is an innovation leader with 18 invention patents granted, and co-chaired the 1storganization level Innovation Council of Honeywell Aero China. Dr. Ding is a serial entrepreneur,
and his latest adventure Albatross.ai has the vision to provide a pioneering avionics system (AFAS: Autonomous Flight Assistance System) with collaborative intelligence and autonomy

Augustine Tai is the Business Development Lead for APAC for Eve Air Mobility. He leads Eve’s Business Development in APAC, being responsible for the sales strategy of Eve’s eVTOL and Services, for securing Partnerships throughout the UAM ecosystem, and for supporting future operations in the APAC region.Augustine brings to the team over 20 years of experience in the aviation and aerospace sectors, and his experience includes Technical Services, Production
Management, Program Management, Airline Line Operations and Sales, covering both MRO and OEM segments. Prior to joining Eve, Augustine held the role of Services & Support (Commercial Aviation) Director (APAC) at Embraer. He was responsible for all Services & Support activities for Embraer Commercial Aviation in the APAC region, and has direct responsibilities for Services Sales, Field Service, and Material Services in the region.He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical & Production Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of

Derek Cheng

Derek Cheng is the Head of Asia-Pacific at Vertical Aerospace. He is responsible for leading all commercial, business and partnership development activities for Vertical in the Asia-Pacific region.
He was previously Head of Asia-Pacific for Airbus Urban Mobility, the dedicated programme division for Airbus’ cargo drones and eVTOLs.

From 2016-2021, Derek held various positions in Airbus’ HQ in Toulouse, and was at last appointment the Head of Asia-Pacific for Government & Public Affairs, and Strategic Partnerships for Airbus Group; responsible for international business development strategies, industrial and sustainable aviation partnerships, based in Singapore.

Prior to joining Airbus, Derek was with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) for 7 years, and flew as a pilot in the Singapore Air force.

He has a Masters of Philosophy in Technology Policy from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK, and trained in Aerospace Engineering (first class honours) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, USA.

Mr. Bausek has started his aviation career as design and production engineer in 2006. His strong passion for engineering and his innovation drive helped him to continue his career and to develop the DA50 (certified, 5 seated, single engine aircraft) acting as chief engineer. He stayed in General aviation and developed and certified the DA62 (certified, 7 seated, twin engine aircraft) as chief engineer and program director. The DA62 won several awards and is the leading, most innovative and best selling twin engine aircraft in the general aviation market.

From 2017 to 2021 Mr. Bausek was acting as Head of Production Organization and EASA Accountable Manager responsible for all production within Wanfeng-Diamond Austria. Since 2021 he is located in China and successfully established till 2023 a new factory in Qingdao from greenfield acting as CEO.

Mr. Bausek continued at all times his responsibility for the innovation within Wanfeng-Diamond Aircraft and is since 2020 working with multiple automotive partners on vertical e-mobility. To facilitate the general aviation and vertical e-mobility in Chinas lower airspace economy he is acting as global technical director and led the vertical e-mobility solution development form Wanfeng-Diamond Aircraft.

Mr. Bausek holds a master degree in aviation and a master degree in innovation management. He is leading since more than 10 years many university-industry cooperation projects and is teaching since more than 15 years on universities and has supervised more than 60 master and bachelor thesis.

Wei Xiaohui, male, from Luoyang, Henan Province, born in August 1978, is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in Defense Science. He primarily focuses on research in the field of aircraft design. Currently, he serves as the Dean of both the College of Aerospace Engineering and the Helicopter Research Institute at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), as well as the Director of the National Defense Key Discipline Laboratory of Advanced Aircraft Design Technology and the Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center for Light General Aviation Aircraft Technology. His research has earned him numerous awards, including one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two First Prizes of National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and one First Prize for Technical Invention awarded by the Ministry of Education. He has also been honored with the Youth Science and Technology Award by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and was named one of the Top Ten Youth Science and Technology Stars of Jiangsu Province.

Mr. Qi Xilong has mastered the interdisciplinary approach of system / integration / software engineering, from the capture of customer requirements, the collection of different related information, to the design and implementation of the product system, as well as hardware and software integration.
